How to use the Write the Room Math Centers:

1. Hang up the math center cards around the room
2. Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

August Write the Room Math Centers:

• Crayon Box Ten Frames: Students will search for the ten frame cards. They will either fill in their ten frame to match, or write the number. Includes numbers to 10 and 20.
• Backpack Addition to 10: Students will search for the addition cards and fill in the equation on their recording sheet.
• Counting On: Students will search for the number cards. They will write the number and count on two more.
• Comparing Numbers: Students will search for the school bus number cards They will write both numbers and color the greater number.
• 2D Shapes: Students will search for the real life shape cards. They will color the matching 2D shape on their recording sheet.
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Then, they can flip the paper over to analyze and answer the questions: How many and then either compare amounts or add.
