Learning CVCe words doesn’t have to be tricky! CVCe word mapping helps your students connect sounds to letters. These CVCe word practice worksheets include a variety of ways to work with the cvce long vowels.

How to use these CVCe word worksheets:

1. Students will say the cvce word.
2. They will tap the sounds in the word.
3. They will map the cvce words, using their finger to “push” the sounds up into the sound boxes.
4. They will map the word, writing a phoneme in each sound box. If multiple letters make a sound, they will share a sound box (b – ea – ch).
5. They will write the cvce words.
