Cut the prep time and still engage your students with the Earth Day Themed Math Center Mats! This set of 14 differentiated first grade math centers is perfect for hands-on activities anytime this April!
What’s included in the Earth Day Themed Math Centers for 1st Grade:
- 12 no prep math centers
- 2 low prep math centers
- Recording sheets
- Color and black and white versions
Many of these no prep centers are similar to my Partner Games so you can keep things consistent all year long.
Every math center includes practice with multiple 1st grade math skills to help you easily differentiate.
Cover by Code: Students will cover each spot according to the code.
Spin a Time: Students will spin a time, model it on the clock, and then cover the match.
Order It: Students will spin three numbers and write them. Then, they will write them in order from least to greatest.
Spin and Graph: Students will spin a shape and graph it.
Race to Fill: For these math partner games, students will take turns spinning and covering a match on their side. The first player to fill their side wins.
Spin and Compare: Students will spin a number and compare with their partner. The player with the larger number gets to put a counter on their side.
Roll and Color Pocket Dice Center: Students will roll a number and color the matching spot on their recording sheet.
Race To The Compost Bin: Students will spin a picture and graph it. The first side to reach the top wins.
Spin and Count or Add: Students will number, show it on the ten frame, and count out that many counters.
Spin and Add: Students will spin 3 numbers and add them.
Count and Stack: Students will build cube towers to match the numbers.
Count and Cover: Students will roll 1-2 dice, count the dots, and cover the matching number.
Race to 120: Students will take turns rolling a die and moving their piece that many spots as they count on to 120.
