How does Flip Read Move work?
- Choose a set of cards that contain the phonics skill you are working on. Editable word cards are included.
- Place them in a pile facedown.
- Students will take turns flipping over a card and reading it.
- If they flip a movement card, they will get up and MOVE instead!
Exercises, stretches, and silly movements are all included. Mix in as many or as few as you’d like!
Alphabet version: For the alphabet version of Flip. Read. Move, the movement cards are body letters. Students will flip a card say the letter, letter sound, or form the letter with their body.

How does Flip Read Move reading fluency align with the Science of Reading? This Flip. Read. Move activity practices decoding, fluency, and gets students moving all in one! The words used are very controlled and build through a phonics scope and sequence. They follow the same scope and sequence as my SOR Guided Curriculum.
What grade levels will this work with? A wide variety of skills are included, plus editable cards, so you can use this reading fluency game with Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, or 2nd grade students.
