Every math center includes practice with multiple First Grade math skills to help you easily differentiate.
Cover by Code: Students will cover each spot according to the code.
- Skills: addition, subtraction
Cover It: Students will cover the correct answer in each box.
- Skills: base ten, place value with expanded form
Spin and Graph: Students will spin a shape and graph it.
- Skills: graphing, 2D shapes
Race to Fill: For these math partner games, students will take turns spinning and covering a match on their side. The first player to fill their side wins.
- Skills: telling time, addition
Spin and Color: Students will spin the spinner and color a matching picture on their recording sheet.
- Skills: fractions (3 options)
Roll and Color Pocket Dice Center: Students will roll a number and color the matching spot on their recording sheet.
- Skills: addition, subtraction
Race Up the Burrow: For these math games, students will spin a picture and then cover that side on their ladder. The first side to reach the top wins.
- Skills: addition, subtraction
Spin and Add: Students will number, show it on the ten frame, and count out that many counters.
- Skills: addition to 10, addition to 20, making ten to add, number bonds, fact families
Roll and Cover: Can be played as partner games or independently. Students will roll a die and cover the corresponding number.
- Skills: doubles, doubles +1
Spin and Cover: Can be played as partner games or independently. Students will spin and cover a match.
- Skills: 2d shapes, 3d shapes, shape attributes
Add and Stack: Students will build cube towers to match the numbers.
- Skills: addition
Count and Cover: Students will roll 2-3 dice, count the dots, and cover the matching number.
- Skills: roll and add with 2 or 3 dice
Race to 120: Students will take turns rolling a die and moving their piece that many spots as they count on to 120.
