How to use the May Write the Room Math Centers:

1. Hang up the math center cards around the room
2. Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

May Write the Room Math Centers:

• Place Value: Students will search for the cards. They will identify the number and color or write it on their recording sheet. Skills: base ten to 100
• Busy Bee Addition: Students will search for the cards. They will solve the addition problems. Skills: addition to 20, addition to 100
• Comparing Numbers: Students will search for the cards. They will compare the numbers on the card. Skills: comparing numbers to 100
• Color a Fraction: Students will search for the cards. They will identify fraction the flower is divided into. Skills: halves, thirds, and fourths
• Number Sense: Students will search for the cards. They will put the 3 numbers in number order or add the 3 numbers. Skills: number order within 100, adding 3 numbers
• Summer Equations: Students will search for the cards. They will solve the subtraction problems. Skills: subtraction within 20, subtraction within 100
• I Know Numbers: Students will search for the cards. They will count on or count back. Skills: counting on, counting back, 1 more and less, 10 more and less
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Skills: Counting, graphing, comparing, addition
