How to use the November Write the Room Math Centers:

1. Hang up the math center cards around the room
2. Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

November Write the Room Math Centers:

• Adding Up Seeds: Students will search for the sunflower cards. They will solve and write the equation on their recording sheet. Skills: addition to 20, adding 3 numbers to 10, adding 3 numbers to 20
• Expanded Form: Students will search for the number cards. They will write the expanded form number as a standard form number. Skills: Place value and expanded form to 99
• Turkey Numbers: Students will search for the cards and fill in the missing numbers on their recording sheet. Skills: missing numbers, counting on
• Scarecrow Numbers: Students will search for the cards. They will either compare the numbers or create a fact family. Skills: comparing numbers to 100, fact families
• Fall Subtraction: Students will search for the cards. They will solve the subtraction problem and color the answer. Skills: subtraction to 10, subtraction to 20
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Skills: Counting, graphing, analyzing data
