Each component of the Pre-K Literacy Curriculum lesson plans was designed to pack as much impact as possible into your day.
- Oral language and vocabulary – Students will be introduced to at least two vocabulary words each week. They will talk about the words, complete vocabulary sorts, and create predictable sentences.
- Poetry – Each week includes an original poem.
- Phonological and phonemic awareness – Pre-K Literacy Unit 6 covers the phonological awareness skills: blending and segmenting.

- Social emotional learning – Weekly social emotional learning lessons (SEL) are included. This unit covers how to end a conversation, sharing, waiting for a turn, and respect for others, things, and adults.
