More about this resource...
Kindergarten Small Moment Narrative Writing Unit // Now that your students know how to write a narrative story and to write across pages, they will learn how to “zoom in” on a small moment in time. They will learn how to write a story and stay on topic, how to stretch out that story over pages, how to stretch out words, how to make their writing the best it can be, and how to know when they are done.
How is this different from Unit 3 Narrative Writing?
Unit 3 focuses on telling a true life narrative story. That story may tell about an entire day or event. This unit shows students how to zoom in to a tiny moment or specific instance within that event.
Can I use this writing unit in 1st grade?
Yes! This unit would also work perfectly in a 1st grade writer’s workshop wince all students are writing at their own levels. It also includes an editable rubric.
