How to use the April Write the Room Math Centers:

1. Hang up the math center cards around the room
2. Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

April Write the Room Math Centers:

• Number Sense: Students will search for the cards. They will fill in the ten frames to match or identify how many more are needed to make ten. Skills: ten frames, making ten
• Spring Base Ten: Students will search for the cards. They will identify the number shown. Skills: base ten to 20, base ten to 30
• Spring Number Order + Addition: Students will search for the cards. They will write the numbers in number order or solve the addition problems. Skills: number order to 20, addition to 10
• Spring Measurement: Students will search for the cards. They will count how many cubes tall each picture is. Skills: nonstandard measurement
• Spring Equations: Students will search for the cards. They will solve the addition or subtraction problems. Skills: counting, addition, subtraction
• Spring Numbers: Students will search for the cards. They will fill in the ten frames to match the numbers, draw base ten blocks to match the numbers, or count on. Skills: ten frames, base ten, counting on, counting back
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Includes numbers to 5 or 10. Skills: Counting, graphing
