Learning to segment and blend sounds is an important skill for beginning readers, and these segmenting sliders are a fun way to practice reading CVC words. Two versions are included: one with the word and one without.
Students will tap out the beginning, middle, and ending sound on the green, yellow, and red dots and then blend it together using the slider arrow. These are great to use in small groups, guided reading, one-on-one, or independently as students become familiar with them.
