How to use these CVC word decodable passages:
- Students will read the short passage. Optional: Have students highlight words with the targeted phonics skill.
- Students can read the decodable passage 3 times for fluency. Stars to color are included.
- Students will visualize and illustrate the story at the bottom of the page.
This set includes 24 CVC decodable passages:
- 1 Short A Decodable Passage

Passages are cumulative. This means that the short a passages will only contain vowel a, but the short e passages can contain vowels e and a, and so on.
