This unit [Unit 2] contains decodable readers for beginning readers. These decodable books use CVC words with limited consonants to scaffold readers who have just learned their letter sounds. Each book builds upon the previous one.
15 decodable readers are included – 13 fiction books and 2 nonfiction books.
Differentiation: Each book has two version – decodable books with pictures and decodable books without pictures. For the version without pictures, students will read the decodable reader and then sequence and glue the story pictures in.
