This unit is is the second unit in and it is meant to review letters and help students learn beginning sounds in context. This curriculum teaches phonics in a routine way that’s both fun and developmentally appropriate.
This unit will review 2 letters over 3 days. In this phonics unit, students will practice beginning sounds in context.
On days one and two, students will review the letter and sound with an alphabet motion, sort pictures by letter sound, complete an interactive writing lesson, find the sound in an emergent reader, and complete a handwriting page with an alphabet directed drawing.
On day three, students will become alphabet detectives and solve missions to find the missing letters and sort by letter sound!
These lessons are scripted to give you less to worry about, but you can use as much or as little as you need. This curriculum can be used as a support to your current program or on its own.
