3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

• Search and Color: Students will search for the cards and color the matching letter or sound their recording sheet. Skills: CVCe words, sounds of y
• Rainy Day match ups: Students will search for the cards and color the matching word or sound. Skills: beginning blends, r-controlled vowels
• Out of this World Words: Students will search for the cards and color the matching sound or word. Skills: beginning blends, dge/tch, vowel teams
• Rainbow Words: Students will search for the cards and fill in the missing sounds on their recording sheet. Skills: cvce words, vowel teams
• Combining: Students will search for the cards. They will combine the words and write the new word. Skills: compound words, contractions
• Sentences: Students will search for the cards. They will read the sentence and color the matching picture. Skills: vowel team sentences
• Vocabulary: Students will search for the fall vocabulary cards. They will trace or write the word on their recording sheet. Skills: Vocabulary

St. Patrick’s Day Write the Room Literacy Centers:

• Tricky Words: Students will search for the cards and write the matching letter or word recording sheet. Skills: beginning blends, ending blends
• Golden Words: Students will search for the cards and write the plural of the word on their recording sheet. Skills: plurals with -s or -es
• True or False: Students will search for the cards. If the picture and sound are a match, they will color a thumbs up. If they are not a match, they will color a thumbs down. Skills: CVCe long vowels, r-controlled vowels
