How to use the March Write the Room Math Centers:

1. Hang up the math center cards around the room
2. Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

March Write the Room Math Centers:

• Number Sense: Students will search for the cards. They will fill in the ten frames to match or draw base ten blocks to match. Skills: ten frames, base ten blocks
• Space Ten Frames: Students will search for the cards. They will identify the number shown. Skills: ten frames, making ten
• Spring Number Order: Students will search for the cards. They will write the numbers in number order. Skills: number order to 20
• Rainy Day Base Ten: Students will search for the cards. They will identify the number shown. Skills: base ten blocks
• Making Ten: Students will search for the cards. They will identify how many more raindrops are needed to make ten. Skills: making ten
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Includes numbers to 5 or 10. Skills: Counting, graphing

St. Patrick’s Day Write the Room Math Centers:

• Number Sense: Students will search for the cards. They will fill in the ten frames to match. Skills: ten frames, base ten blocks
• Counting on/back: Students will search for the cards. They will identify the number shown and count on or back. Skills: counting on, counting back
• Addition: Students will search for the cards. They will count the shamrocks and coins and write an addition problem to match. Skills: counting, addition
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Includes numbers to 5 or 10. Skills: Counting, graphing
