How to use the September Write the Room Math Centers:
- Hang up the math center cards around the room
- Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
- They will search the room for the cards
- When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet
September Write the Room Math Centers:
- Apple Shapes: Students will search for the apple basket cards. They will color the matching real-life 2D shape on their recording sheet.
- Bubble Gum Bear Addition: Students will search for the addition problems. They will color the gumball with the matching sum and write the entire equation on their recording sheet.
- Comparing Numbers: Students will search for the number cards. They will write both numbers and color the greater number. Includes comparing numbers to 20 or 50.
- Apple Number Bonds: Students will search for the number bonds with dice cards. They will count the dots to find the missing whole number and fill in the number bond to match.
- Subtraction Paint: Students will search for the subtraction to 10 cards. They will solve and write the equation on their recording sheet.
- Graph the Room: Students will search for the picture cards. They will count the amount and fill in the graph the match. Then, they can flip the paper over and analyze the graph. Options for comparing amounts or adding amounts are included.
