How to use the June Write the Room Math Centers:

1. Hang up the math center cards around the room
2. Students will grab a recording sheet and a clipboard
3. They will search the room for the cards
4. When they find a card, they will color or write the answer on their recording sheet

June Write the Room Math Centers:

• Place Value: Students will search for the cards. They will identify the number and color it on their recording sheet. Skills: base ten
• Ten Frames: Students will search for the cards. They will count or find how many more are needed to make ten. Skills: ten frames to 10, ten frames to 20, making 10
• I Know Numbers: Students will search for the cards. They will either count on or count back. Skills: counting on, counting back
• Sunny Sums: Students will search for the cards. They will add and write the equation. Skills: addition to 10
• Surfing to Solve: Students will search for the cards. They will subtract and solve. Skills: subtraction to 10
• Scooping Up Sums: Students will search for the cards. They will add the numbers on the scoops. Skills: addition to 10
• Graph the Room: Students will search for the cards. They will count the pictures and graph. Skills: graphing, comparing
